Thank you very much for your genealogical investigation. It surely involved a sacrifice of time spurred on by a love and pride of the McKinley family origins! I wish that I had tapped my father’s knowledge of the family history from Ireland to Lower Canada. It was limited but having data from both sides of our family McKinley-McBain it was significant! I wasn’t a full-fledged McKinley evidently as I did not know how to drink! So a cousin in Val-Cartier informed me. If that drinking to which he referred really characterized the family, I am ashamed to call myself a McKinley. However I believe it was an exaggeration ! My wife (Egan) and I have been missionaries in Peru, S.A. for many years and have Peruvian descendents McKinley Ramos 3; Gilardi McKinley 3; McKinley Egan 1 (total 7)
