Will of Mary Hayes
Wife of John Conway

“Collection of Holographic Wills, Testaments, and Codicils.”

I, Mary Hayes, wife of John Conway, farmer, both residing in the parish of St. Catherine, in the County of Portneuf do make my last will as follows: –

1º I recommend my soul to Almighty God.

2º I ordain that a decent funeral service be celebrated for the repose of my soul as soon as possible after my death, and an anniversary service in a year following my decease.

3º I give and bequeath unto my son, James Conway, all the property moveable and immoveable I will die possessed of.

4º I hereby revoke all former wills and codicils by me made.

In faith and testimony whereof, I have signed these presents as expressing my true intentions and last wishes, at St. Catherine, in the County of Portneuf, on this twenty fifth day of March nineteen hundred and eighteen.

And the said Mary Hayes Conway has acknowledged her signature as having been subscribed by her to this her last will in the presence of the undersigned witnesses who have signed immediately in the presence of one another and of the Testatrix and at the latter’s request, at St. Catherine aforesaid, this twenty fifth day of March nineteen hundred and eighteen.

NOTE: Mary Hayes (d/o Richard Hayes & Mary White) married John Conway (s/o Patrick Conway and Ann Pine) in St-Gabriel-de-Valcartier on 18 February 1873.
