On this seventeenth day of March one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, before me Cyrille Renaud, Public Notary residing at Loretteville, undersigned, personally appeared Dame Agnes Ireland, wife of Thomas Brown, Farmer, residing in the Parish of St. Gabriel of Valcartier, who being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding hath requested me the said Notary to write down and receive in due form of law her last will and testament which she has declared in manner and form following:
1º I most willingly resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God, my Creator, in the humble hope that he will receive it to his favor through the sole merits and intercession of Jesus Christ, my Saviour.
2º I desire that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid by my Executor hereinafter named.
3º I give and bequeath to my husband Thomas Brown, all my moveable and immoveable properties whatsoever, wherever the same may be found and to whatever the same shall amount, hereby constituting my said husband my universal legatee.
4º I nominate, constitute and appoint my said husband as Executor of this my will and testament and I revoke all will and testament I may have heretofore made and I declare the present to be my only true last will and testament.
Done and passed at Loretteville under Notarial Number six thousand and eighty nine. After the reading of the present will to the Testatrix by the Notary in presence of Jules Falardeau, Merchant, and Alphonse Alain, Saddler, both of the Parish of St. Ambroise of Jeune Lorette, the Testatrix, the Notary and the witnesses have signed in the presence of each other.

Notes by Patricia Balkcom: Agnes was 91 years old when she died in 1934. She outlived her husband, so it is possible that there is a later will.
