Notes by Patricia Balkcom:  I have not found burial records for John or his wife, Jane.  There is a church record of a burial in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Valcartier in December, 1917 for John McCoubrey, however, there is not enough identifying information in the entry to identify him as the husband of Jane Patton.
