Last Will of James Whelan

I, James Whelan, farmer of the Parish of Stoneham, in the County of Quebec, Dominion of Canada, in prevision of my future death, declare in the presence of René Casgrain, Parish Priest of Stoneham, and of Michael Murphy, farmer, also of Stoneham, that this is my last will, that is to say,

I do declare to leave all that I may possess this day to my wife Ellen Delaney, and this I do willfully, from the bottom of my heart, this twenty fourth day of January one thousand eight hundred and seventy six.

James Whelan, his mark;

René Casgrain, Priest, his signature;

Michael Murphy, his signature.
