To the Honourable, the Commissioners for managing and improving the Estates heretofore belonging to the late order of Jesuits—- The Petition of Robert Boyd humbly sheweth— That your Petitioner is desirous of obtaining a grant of one Lot of Land situate in the 5th Concession of St. Gabriel bounded in front by the land heretofore granted to Mr. Waller, in the rear by the lands of John O’Neil, on one side by the lot of land granted to John McCartney, and on the other side by a lot of ungranted land. The Lot here petitioned for is No. 5. That if may please your Honours to grant the above mentioned lot of land, your Petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray. Your Petitioner left Ireland in the month of May 1825 & arrived in Quebec the 19th of June, and if the above lot is granted to him, he will go immediately and settle as a farmer upon it.
