She was the loving wife of the late Antonio J. Bacon. They were married in 1940 and shared over 46 years together until his passing in 1986. Born and raised in Woonsocket she was daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Bernier) Trudeau. She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and a lifelong resident of the city. In her later years, at the young age of 67, Sylvia got her driver’s license and went all over the place, usually on various shopping trips. Sylvia was a very friendly and outgoing lady, devoted to everyone in her family. Her love for ice cream came second only to her love for her family. Mary Gough b. 26 Feb 1858, d. 21 Jun 1938 | |
Marriage* | 9 October 1877 | Mary Gough; St-Etienne Catholic Church, LaMalbaie, Saguenay County, Quebec, Canada; "...between William Trudel, living in this parish, son of age of Jule Trudel and the late Renobie Audette dit Lapointe on the one part; and Mary Gough, also living in this parish, minor daughter of the late Charles Gough and the late Catherine Waters on the other part;...with the consent of the guardian of the bride, Fransoix Xavier Warren..." Signed by Mary Goff, William Trudel, Xavier and Alice Warren, Napolean Trudel and M. Jule Trudel. Note: Although it states that Charles Gough was deceased, he was still living (died 1899). It's possible that Mary thought he had died since she probably had not seen him since she was a young girl.1 |
