On this seventeenth day of March one thousand nine hundred and ten, before me Cyrille Renaud, Public Notary, residing in the Parish of St. Ambroise of Jeune Lorette, undersigned, personally appeared Julia Adams, wife of Patrick Gough, Farmer, residing in the Parish of St. Gabriel of Valcartier, who requested me the said Notary to write down and receive in due form of law her last will and testament which she has declared in manner following:

I give and bequeath to my husband Patrick Gough all my moveable and immoveable properties wherever the same may be found and to whatever the same shall amount hereby constituting my said husband my universal legatee, the Executor of this last will and I revoke all wills I may have heretofore made.

Done and passed at Valcartier in the residence of the said Testatrix under Notarial Number four thousand six hundred and five. After the reading of the said will to the said Testatrix by the Notary in presence of Robert Penny and Ernest Penny, both farmers of Valcartier, the Testatrix, the Notary and witnesses have signed in the presence of each other.

In the name of God, Amen, I, John Rea, of the Settlement of Valcartier, and County of Quebec, Farmer & Blacksmith, being very weakly of body but of perfect mind and memory, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is to say, principally, and first of all, I give & recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God.

And touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless one, I give, demise & dispose of to Robert Ross Junr. of the First Concession Valcartier and Mary Rea, his wife and my daughter, all and every my real & personal property of whatever kind it may be in consideration that the said Robert Ross & Mary Rea shall support in a decent, comfortable, respectable and Christian like manner Agnes Ainslie, my lawful wife, and if she so wish to furnish her with a comfortable cottage nigh to the residence of said Robert Ross and Mary Rea, and I further ordain that all articles of household furniture, ornaments, etc. shall be freely enjoyed by the said Agnes Ainslie during her natural life with the exception of an eight day clock which I bequeath to the said Robert Ross and Mary Rea.

And I hereby ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last will and testament as witness my hand in presence of these witnesses this twenty fifth day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty six..
