| Note* | Is Catherine Cullen related to Lawrence Cullen (who married Ellen Murphy)? Speculation is that she could be a niece, making Michael Cullen, her father, brother to Lawrence. She is living close to this family and children of Lawrence, were often witnesses to events in her life (her marriage and baptism of some of her children). However, the 1851 Census states that she was born in County Cork, and one would expect that if she was related to Lawrence Cullen that she would have been born in Kilkenny or Wexford Counties. However, the Cork entry could be a mistake as we don't know who gave the information to the enumerators. | |
