On this fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, before me Cyrille Renaud, Notary, residing at Loretteville, undersigned, personally appeared Mr. Michael Holton, farmer, residing in the parish of St. Gabriel of Valcartier, who requested me the said Notary, to write down and receive his last will and testament which he has declared in due form of law, that is to say:

1º I give and bequeath to my wife, Ellen Lannin, all my moveable and immoveable properties whatsoever the same shall amount and to wherever the same may be found, hereby constituting my said wife my universal legatee and the Executrix of this my will and testament.

Done and passed at Valcartier under Notarial number seven thousand five hundred and eighty five.

After the reading of the said will by the Notary to the said Testator in presence of Thomas J. Billing and Thomas McBain, both farmers, residing at Valcartier, the Testator, the witnesses have signed with me Notary in the presence of all others, the Testator being unable to sign by sickness has made his mark in presence of Notary and witnesses.
