On the twenty fourth day of April one thousand nine hundred and nine,
before Mtre. Édouard Antill Panet, the undersigned Notary Public duly commissioned and sworn in and residing and practising in St. Raymond, Province of Quebec, personally came and appeared Michael Mooney of the Parish of Saint Raymond, Farmer, in good health and of sound and disposing mind, memory, judgment and understanding as it appeared unto us Notary and witnesses from his words and actions, yet considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous of regulating his worldly affairs whilst yet he hath the health to do so, hath named, dictated and nominated unto us Notary and in the presence of said witnesses his last will and testament in the manner and form following:
1º I recommend my soul to Almighty God, my Creator.
2º I will and order that my funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid by my Executrix hereinafter named.
3º I will and order that my body be interred in a manner suitable to my station in life and according to the rights and solemnities of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and faith of which I am a member.
4º I give, devise and bequeath to my well beloved wife, Jane Bryson, the whole of my property moveable and immoveable, ready money, rights an actions, and generally all and whatsoever I may die possessed of at the time of my decease, to be by her used, enjoyed and disposed of in full property and ownership from and after the moment of my decease, hereby appointing her my residuary legatee and devisee in full property and ownership from and after the moment of my decease and Executrix of this my present last will and testament.
It was thus named, dictated and nominated by the said Testator of his own free will and accord to us said Notary and witnesses, the said Testator persisting thereof as fully to contain his last will and intentions, hereby revoking all former wills and codicils by me heretofore made.
And the said Testator hath signed his present last will and testament, with an in the presence of the undersigned Notary and in the presence of André Plamondon, Carpenter, and Phileas Plante, Carriage Maker, both of the Village of St. Raymond, witnesses, who have each signed with and in the presence of each other, these presents having first been read to the Testator by the said Notary in presence of said witnesses.
Done and passed at St. Raymond in the office of the undersigned Notary Public on the day, month and year first above written under number wight thousand six hundred and ninety [four] of the original deeds remaining of record in the office of the undersigned Notary Public.
