Birth*31 October 1813Shanderry, Offerlane Civil Parish, Queen's County (Laois), Leinster Province, Ireland; The birthdate based on the age on the gravestone would indicate that she was born on October 31, 1814. However, the baptismal record states she was baptized on Nov. 2, 1813, so I suspect she was born on October 31, 1813. The gravestone appears to have been raised at a date some years after her burial so it is possible that the age listed on it is in error.1,3

Cassin; Mequon, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, United States; "Michael Cassin", white, male, age 26, head of household #1075, farmer, real estate worth $100, personal property $50, born Canada. Living with him is his wife and two children. They are living next to Corrigan brothers, Michael and John and their families, (who are the brothers of Michael's wife, Jane) and also the Mooneys who were also from Valcartier. It is interesting that Michael is found in the 1860 census for both Valcartier and Wisconsin. The Wisconsin census was taken in July and Michael is listed with his wife and two children but the Valcartier lists him as living with his parents, married and does not list his wife or children. However, his sisters are also listed as married and also living in this house even though their husbands are not listed. It is possible that the census taker listed them as the children of Edward even though they were not physically living there.
